2024 Commonwealth Junior and Cadet Fencing Championships

Dear Junior and Cadet Fencers and their guardians.

The application form and the selection criteria for fencing in the 2024 Junior and Cadet Commonwealth Fencing Championships in New Zealand in July 2024 can now be viewed on the GUE website (link: Commonwealth Selection Process | Guernsey Fencing). The application form is also attached. The closing date for submitting an application is on Monday 12 February 2024 at 5pm to either this email address or by post to the GUE's registered address. Selections will then be made based on the selection criteria and published on the GUE website on Friday 16 February.

Once the team has been selected, details of the trip will be discussed with relevant parties in a smaller forum. Please note that at this stage a team manager and a coach have not been chosen. Such appointments may need to be funded by those competing. This will be further discussed in the smaller forum.

If you are unsure whether to apply or not, we suggest that you do apply. There will be an opportunity to withdraw from participation prior to making any bookings or committing to any costs. 

We kindly request that Fencers do not make their own travel and accommodation arrangements prior to discussing it in the smaller forum with the GUE representative making the arrangements.
